Orillia and Ramara Fire responded to a call for something in the water on Sunday afternoon.
In an email to CTV News, Orillia Fire Chief Chris Ferry confirmed fire crews found a person in the water about 1000 feet off of Creighton Street in the area of Atherley Narrows on the Lake Simcoe side.
Crews brought the person back to shore where paramedics began patient care and transported one individual to hospital.
