Fire at Cambridge business believed to be intentionally set

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a suspicious fire in Cambridge.

On Friday, around 2:25 a.m., firefighters were called to an unnamed business near Glenmorris Street and Cedar Street.

Police said the flames were contained to the building and porch.

They also described it as a small fire which caused minor damage.

Police believe the fire was deliberate.

“Three unknown males wearing masks were observed at the business prior to the incident,” they said in a media release.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact police at 519‑570‑9777.
