Arnprior residents should be on alert for a potential phone scam claiming to be collecting funds for the local fire department.
The town issued a notice on Dec. 3 stating there was no current fundraising campaign being lead by the department.
Anyone receiving these calls were urged to not provide any financial information and relay the incident to the town.
