1 person dead after house fire in Lincoln, Ont., police say

One man has died after a house fire in Lincoln, Ont., on Monday, Niagara police say.

Police responded to a fire on Nineteenth Street near Seventh Avenue alongside Lincoln Fire Rescue and EMS at around 2:45 p.m. ET.

"During their fire fighting operations, firefighters located an adult male within the residence who was without vital signs," according to a police news release Tuesday.

The man, who lived in the home, was pronounced dead on scene.

The Office of the Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire, while police investigate the cause of death.
