FSMC 024 - Project Management & Procurement

Course Description 

This course presents project planning and the project plan best practices, along with a review of successful projects will be discussed. Students will look at procurement law and municipal procurement  and will understand how project management concepts like project definition, stakeholder management, schedules & costs estimation, and project risk management can be applied to projects for positive project outcomes so that students can participate in project teams, manage projects, and closeout projects more effectively by applying tools and techniques learned in this course.

This course is part of the Humber College Fire Service Executive Management Certificate program and participants will receive one (1) credit towards their certificate.

There must be a minimum of 20 registered participants for the course to proceed.  Registration cut-off date is June 8, 2026.

Registration/Cancellation Policy:  There is a $50 fee for all cancellations.  There are no refunds after June 1, 2026. If a course is cancelled due to the minimum numbers not attained, students can be refunded their course fees, or a credit can be applied to their account.
