The Municipality of Meaford is pleased to announce the appointment of Cole Dales as Deputy Fire Chief with the Meaford Fire Department, effective April 20.
“Cole brings a strong and diverse background in fire service operations, emergency response, and community-focused service,” said Fire Chief Rob Pilon. “His experience across municipal fire services, emergency response at a critical provincial facility, and his instructional work with the Ontario Fire College will be a significant asset to our department. Cole has already demonstrated professionalism and dedication during his time with Meaford Fire, and I am confident he will excel in this leadership role.”
Deputy Fire Chief Dales brings 14 years of fire service experience, beginning as a volunteer firefighter in Walkerton and including four years with Ontario Power Generation’s Emergency Response Team at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station, where he gained expertise in inspections, fire prevention, and hazardous materials response. He also spent six years with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) as an Auxiliary Constable and has served the past five years as an Adjunct Instructor with the Ontario Fire College, delivering training to fire service professionals across Ontario.
Dales has been a member of the Meaford Fire Department for the past year and has demonstrated a strong commitment to the department’s high standards of professionalism, teamwork, and public service.
The Municipality extends its congratulations to Deputy Fire Chief Dales and looks forward to his continued leadership and service to the Meaford community.
