President's Trailblazer Award
The FSWO President’s Trailblazer Award recognizes a current FSWO member who has broken barriers, challenged expectations, and helped pave the way for others in the fire service. Trailblazers lead through their actions, demonstrate courage and integrity, and inspire others to grow, succeed, and see what is possible.
A Trailblazer may come from any area of the fire service. They may have been among the first to step into a role, challenged the status quo, created new opportunities, or made the path easier for those who follow.
Nominate a current FSWO member whose leadership and example have created meaningful change and made a lasting difference in their station, department, or the broader fire service.

3 'E' Award
The FSWO 3 ‘E’ Award recognizes an individual, group, department, or organization that has made a meaningful and lasting difference for women in the fire service by living the FSWO values of Educate, Encourage, and Empower.
Recipients may be mentors who have helped others find their way, leaders who have advocated for change, or departments and organizations that have created programs, partnerships, and opportunities that help women enter, grow, succeed, and lead in the fire service.
This award celebrates those who have gone beyond a single action or moment to create lasting impact and positive change. Nominees do not need to be FSWO members or part of a fire service—their commitment to supporting and advancing women in the fire service is what matters.

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (I.D.E.A.) Award
The FSWO Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (I.D.E.A.) Award recognizes an individual or organization that has demonstrated meaningful and sustained leadership in creating a more inclusive, equitable, and accessible fire service.
Recipients may have challenged barriers, improved policies or practices, created more inclusive training or recruitment opportunities, or helped build a culture where women and underrepresented groups feel they belong and have opportunities to grow and lead.
Nominate an individual or organization, within or outside the fire service, whose actions have created meaningful change and helped build a fire service where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

Pink Helmet of Courage Award
The FSWO Pink Helmet of Courage Award recognizes a current FSWO member who has demonstrated courage, resilience, and strength in the face of significant challenges or adversity.
Recipients have faced difficult circumstances with tenacity and grace while continuing to encourage, educate, and empower others. Through their resilience, openness, and willingness to support those around them, they demonstrate that leadership and strength can take many forms.
Nominate a current FSWO member whose courage and perseverance have inspired others and made a meaningful difference within FSWO or the broader fire service community.

FSWO Special Award
Some contributions simply cannot be contained within a standard award category. The FSWO Special Award exists to recognize individuals or organizations whose exceptional service, leadership, or impact on FSWO and the fire service community deserves unique recognition.
Presented at the discretion of the FSWO Board, these awards honour extraordinary, long-standing, or far-reaching contributions that may not fit within our standard award categories but should not go unrecognized.
Nominate an individual, mentor, ally, or organization whose contribution to FSWO or to women in the fire service stands apart and deserves to be recognized in a special way.
