Online blended format NFPA 1001 Level 1 & 2

The Seneca College Fire Service Training Division is pleased to offer a new training program for Ontario Volunteer Firefighters.  This new program is designed for Ontario firefighters seeking NFPA 1001 certification.  Our online Fire Service learning platform is a visually engaging self-instruction design that guides students through all NFPA 1001 Firefighter I and II learning objectives.  All content is presented in an innovative user-friendly manner with live action videos to accommodate all learning preferences.  Participants can study at their own pace at the location you desire, from the comfort of your own computer.

Upon successful completion of the theoretical online home study portion, students are provided with the opportunity to apply their knowledge to fire ground operations and live fire scenarios. Throughout the hands-on training portion, students will attend the Seneca College Fire Protection Training Centre to complete four weeks of practical Fire Ground Skills training.

At the completion of the course, students will have the opportunity to write the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office NFPA 1001 Level 1 & 2, NFPA 1072 Awareness and Operations Level Certification Exams.
