Safety Media provides a one-stop-shop for commercial fire and life safety essentials. The company manufactures, sources and distributes a full range of innovative and high-quality safety products. These include fire extinguishers, first aid supplies, workplace safety equipment, and fire safety plan boxes. We also manufacture in-house all standard and custom signs needed to meet fire and building codes, and workplace safety regulations. We are a leader in accessible solutions for fire and life safety (particularly signage and evacuation maps). We are a publisher of fire safety log books, detailed guides and videos on fire safety, and provide fire safety training in our Toronto classroom. We have written over 100 fire safety plans in the last three years.  Safety Media also provides cloud-based logging and reporting solutions for fire, mechanical, first aid and security as a distributor of C2020 cloud based compliance software from Commercial Fire and Safety Inc.

Position Overview:

Working in collaboration with the President, the Fire and Life Safety Specialist will provide leadership to customers and customer service for professional services, larger orders and C2020 implementations. The Fire and Life Safety Specialist will be passionate about what they do, and working to implement fire and life safety solutions that further the objectives of our clients.

Primary duties include:
  • Working with customers on their compliance questions and needs. 
  • Implementing our new C2020 software as a service solution. This data-driven role calls for a combination of analytical thinking and interpersonal ability to be able to implement the solution for our customers quickly and efficiently.
  • Leading our professional services work.
  • Post-secondary education in fire prevention or fire safety.
  • Knowledge of Ontario Fire Code, Fire Prevention and Protection Act and related legislation and by-laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (email, MS Word). MS Excel required.
