FSMC 021 - Fire Prevention & Public Education for Fire Services Officers

Participants will receive a thorough overview of mandated public education and fire prevention fire protection services under the Fire Protection Prevention Act, 1997 (FPPA) and applicable regulations made under the Act.  The course reviews the authorities and responsibilities of fire officials regarding fire prevention practices, how the community risk assessment process can inform and support municipal decision makers about the provision of fire protection services, and best practices to address community risk through public education and fire prevention programs.   
 

A minimum of 20 participants must be registered in order for the course to proceed.
