
FSMC 003 - Public Administration - Fire Services
This course is an organizational overview of the three-levels of government in Canada. There will be a thorough exploration of current issues facing municipalities and the relationship with the respective provinces. Students will take a particularly close look at the challenges faced by public safety professionals related to political structure, as well as the unique make up of all municipalities within the province. Participants will leave with a better overall understanding of the complexities of the governmental system and how they fit within it.
This course is part of the Humber College Fire Service Executive Management Certificate program, and counts as one (1) of the twelve (12) compulsory courses required towards the certificate.
A minimum of 20 participants must be registered in order for the course to proceed.
