FSMC 024-Project Management & Procurement
 
Course Description
This course focuses on understanding municipal budgeting, finance and procurement. Your skills as a leader are enhanced with an understanding of how to balance Fire needs with Corporate priorities and community affordability.   We will explore the financial challenges that municipalities face, and provide you with the tools needed to develop a sustainable fire budget.  Procurement is a critical piece in staying on budget.  This course will give students an understanding of the intricacies involved in public procurement.  We will explore how to write and evaluate proposals that result in the best proponent and the lowest cost.   
 

This course is part of the Humber College Fire Service Executive Management Certificate program. Participants will receive one (1) credit towards their certificate.

A minimum of 20 participants must be registered in order for the course to proceed.
