In the case of a local emergency, be among the first to know by signing up for a new alert system.

Brighton Fire and Emergency Services has launched a new service, Brighton Alert, that will send residents alerts of any potential safety threat to the Municipality of Brighton. It will replace the existing notification system.

“Our new emergency notification system will result in faster, more reliable and more efficient communication in an emergency,” said fire chief Jim Smith.

“The safety and well-being of our residents, visitors and partners is a top priority for the Municipality of Brighton.”

Residents need to register to receive the free alerts and can choose to opt out of the service at any time. Sign up using this link: https://www.getrave.ca/smart911/ref/reg.action?pa=brighton

“We will work diligently to ensure that this system is only utilized during times of a true emergency. The system will not be used to promote events, survey announcements or other non-emergency conditions,” the fire department noted in a recent report to Brighton council.
