Quinte West fire fighters called to multiple vehicle accidents

It was a busy day for Quinte West firefighters.

According to Fire Chief John Whelan they were called to three accidents over the course of the day on Thursday.

The first one was reported in the morning when a single vehicle crashed into a hydro pole on Highway 2 near Aikins Road.

Later, at approximately 1:30 p.m., there were simultaneous accidents on the 401 westbound lanes.

One occurred near Wallbridge-Loyalist Road when a transport truck apparently jack-knifed and took out two other vehicles.

Meantime on the 401 westbound near Glen Miller Road a single vehicle went into a ditch.
