No one was hurt but a large fire at a home on Highway 10 in Caledon caused about $3 million in damage, said Caledon Fire Service.
The large fire started in a vehicle that was in an attached garage on the property, said Deputy Chief Mark Wallace.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 8 p.m. Saturday (August 29).
At least 18 fire trucks helped put out the blaze using a defensive operation and tanker shuttles to transport water to the scene.
Caledon Fire Chief Darryl Bailey said upon arrival crews faced extensive fire conditions with a fast moving fire spreading throughout the attic area due to the wind.
Hwy. 10 was closed between King Street and Boston Mills through the night.
The road reopened around 6 a.m. Sunday morning.
