Scugog Fire and Emergency Services are asking for your help stuffing one of their trucks with holiday gifts and toys for local families in need.

In light of the pandemic, firefighters will be holding a one day, drive-thru event in support of their annual Fill the Fire Truck campaign.

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, fire crews will be accepting donations at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre in Port Perry and the Blackstock Recreation Complex.

Place any unwrapped toys or gift cards in your trunk before you arrive. The event is contactless, so firefighters will actually remove any donations from your vehicle for you.

“Scugog Fire and Emergency Services is pleased to collect the donations and lend support to those in need through Operation Scugog,” said Fire Chief Mark Berney. “Happy Holidays and thank you to the community for their ongoing support.”
