A fire at a residential home on Coshs Road, just west of Bobcaygeon, has been deemed a total loss, according to local fire officials.
Crews were called to 169 Coshs Road around 9 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 29) said Kawartha Lakes’ Fire Chief Terry Jones.
Upon arrival, the structure was fully involved, however, no one was home at the time of the fire, Jones said.
“Three stations were dispatched and crews worked most of the night in frigid temperatures to extinguish the fire,” he said. “One station returned the next morning to extinguish remaining hot spots.”
No one was injured as a result of the fire and the cause is undetermined at this time, Jones said.
“This was a total loss and damage is estimated at $650,000,” he said.
