A Haldimand woman injured in a house fire last week has died in hospital.
Sharon Lucken, 73, was rescued from a burning home on Brookfield Boulevard in Dunnville Friday night.

Lucken suffered serious injuries and was treated at hospital. She was then air-lifted to hospital in Hamilton.

Lucken was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m. Saturday.

Ontario’s Office of the Fire Marshal was called in to investigate. The office has determined that the cause of the fire is not suspicious.

Haldimand firefighters responded to the emergency around 7:30 p.m. Friday. The home was engulfed in flames when they arrived.

It took a couple hours to bring the blaze under control. Damage to the house was severe.
