The Brant County volunteer fire department wants to hear from residents as it develops its 10-year master plan.

“We want to know how we can improve and enhance our services to you,” said Chief Geoff Hayman.

A public consultation meeting to discuss the master plan is being held Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Brant Sports Complex, 944 Powerline Rd., Paris.

Residents can also fill out a survey, which can be found at www.brant.ca/Fire or pick up a printed copy at the county’s customer service offices and the Paris fire station at 61 Dundas St. E.

“We hope people can join us at the public meeting,” Hayman said.

“But, if not, we’re hoping they will share their views, thoughts and opinions with us through the survey. This information will be important as we shape our fire master plan.”

The county has hired Emergency Management and Training Inc., an Ontario-based consulting firm, to help develop the plan. The company, based in Barrie, has worked with many fire departments in developing master plans, station assessments and fire service reviews.
