FUNDING

As in past years, the Northern Fire Protection Program (NFPP) will provide funding support for NFPP members to attend FireCon programs from all regions. This year we will fund 6 members per department, the only stipulation being that a maximum of two members will be funded for the same course.

ACCOMMODATIONS

You are responsible for booking and paying for your own accommodations, the OAFC and NFPP are not reserving blocks of rooms for NFPP this year. Please include the accommodations cost in your request for funding. The conference cost will be invoiced directly to the OFM. Any meals not covered by registration and travel will be covered at the current approved rates for NFPP.

REGISTRATION 

NEW THIS YEAR: Registration for ALL courses (including the Leadership Track) will be done through the OFM Training and Certification Portal. 

All FireCon registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once the individual is signed up their spot is final.

REQUEST FOR FUNDING FORM

A Request for Funding Form is found below and must be completed and sent to OFM Program Specialist Rob McEwan at rob.mcewan@ontario.ca by June 21, 2026E-mail subject line: NFPP FireCon 2026_Department Name _Vendor#

In order to complete a FireCon 2026 NFPP Request for Funding Form, you must have a vendor number to insert on the form before submitting (this vendor number is now the only method for reimbursement of applicable expenses after the event and will expediate the reimbursement process).  If you do not have a vendor # please see self-registration instructions

PLEASE DO NOT DELAY REGISTRATION ON THE OFM PORTAL AWAITING APPROVAL FOR FUNDING.
