FSMC 002 - Municipal Budgeting & Finance

The program will study the fundamentals of public municipal finance and the statutes/laws/by-laws that provide governance. 

It will take a look at the challenges facing public safety agencies competing for limited funding.  An examination of a municipal fire current/operating budget will be undertaken. Capital budget forecasting, reserve funding, alternative funding sources and development charges will also be covered.

This course is part of the Humber College Fire Service Executive Management Certificate program. Participants will receive one(1) credit towards their certificate.

The cost for this course is $365.00 + HST.  A minimum of 12 participants must be registered in order for the course to proceed.
