There has been some trouble with the OPFFA server over past few months and as a result, they have not been receiving LODD notifications that were submitted via the OPFFA website.

All submissions that were on hold in cyberspace have now been received by the OPFFA office. All submissions of LODD names and their submitters names that have been entered on the site since June 2009 are listed below. Please check the following list and reply if you have submitted a name and it is not present so that they can ensure that all names are included in the Memorial dedication in the fall this year.

Also be advised the government agency responsible for the “Tribute to the Fallen” Ceremony utilizes the same list to compile their recipients for this year’s award ceremony. It is anticipated the 2009 ceremony will be held in this coming April. Therefore it is imperative you ensure your organization submits all their names for both events using the form found on www.opffa.org under “Fire Fighter Memorial - Submit a name”.

As a reminder; the eligibility date for the Tribute for those recognized LODD’s who passed is post January 1st 2002. The Tribute is a time sensitive function and we would appreciate a reply from each stakeholder confirming our records are correct as soon as possible. We urge you to take the time to ensure all our Fallen are recognized in the proper manner.
