Jason Miller/The Intelligencer Mayor Taso Christopher oversees the swearing in ceremony for newly hired deputy fire chiefs Paul Patry (left), who will serve as deputy chief of administration and Don Corbett, deputy chief of operations.

Belleville has replaced two of its deputy chiefs.

Paul Patry and Don Corbett were sworn in Monday as the replacements for Deputy Chief Ray Ellis, who recently retired, and Deputy Bruce Greatrix, who will step away from the Belleville department this year.

Patry, formerly the assistant chief of fire prevention in Kingston, will take on the role of deputy fire chief of administration here, while Corbett, a deputy chief of operations in Kingston, will be brought on in the same capacity here. Both have family in the region and will commence service here in short order.
