Active Membership

To be eligible for an Active Membership with the OAFC, you must hold a position as a Chief, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, Assistant Deputy Chief, Platoon Chief, Battalion Chief, District Chief, and Division Chief or Directors of any fire department in the Province of Ontario, providing such individual does not hold active membership in any association of union that represents firefighters in collective bargaining matters.

  • A complimentary copy of the most recent Ontario Fire Department Directory

  • Discount rates at our Conference Hotel, the DoubleTree International Plaza by showing your membership card.

Communications and Networking

  • The latest up–to-date information through our website www.oafc.on.ca including a ‘Members Only’ section, accessible only to OAFC members by password. It will provide an on-line discussion forum, sample templates of policies & procedures, a library of presentations and more.
  • Interactive communications through electronic emails and an OAFC newsletter outlining important news, announcements and upcoming events.
  • Committee meetings, Zone Meetings and Networking opportunities
  • Membership with the Ontario Fire Life Safety Educators Association for your Public Educators or equivalent with access to information on their website (www.oflse.com)
